Tips

Important points to keep in mind while going though this process!

Tip #1: It is okay to not meet every deadline, try to catch up during the long breaks that you will have!

It is important to know that there will be couple periods where you will have many sumatives and asesments due, Personal Project might not be your priority. This is a normal time to go through and it is okay to take breaks. But it is crutial to head back to your project when this period gets easier. You will have breaks and it is important to do as much as you can then. Even if its for an hour or two each day, it will help you more than you think!

Tip #2: Do not leave it to the last minute. This is a time consuming project that will be very stressful if you leave it to the last week.

This task is very long and time consuming and by leaving it on the last week or days, you will put much stress on yourself. Some people work better under stress, but it is easy to miss stuff when your under too much pressure. Do not risk your grade and start early!

Tip #3: This is a red light work, do not use AI! It will bring you more harm than good.

Using AI might seem like an easy way to finish this project early and not worry about it later. If this is what you were thinking, it is compleatly false. The IB system is very strict with the AI checkers and the one that they use barely makes any mistakes. If your supervisor realizes that you have used AI, they will make you rewrite everything all over again. Now the hours that you have put in will go to waste. Not only this but sometimes IB could not accept you due to playgerizing. Don't forget that you are more than capable of writing it without AI!

Tip #4: Be confident in your project. Make sure you are interested in what your doing, this is a long run and if your not fully interested you'll not have the motivation to get the work done.

When your deciding on what you want to work on, it is important to put your interests in consideration. You will be working on this for 7 months and if you are not interested in it, it will be difficult for you to concentrate. Do not do something just because your friend is doing something similar or your parents want you to do it, choose it yourself!

Tip#5: Meeting with your supervisor

It is crutial to frequently meet with your supervisor to achieve the best grade you can get. The supervisor will help you so much in the long run and they are there for you.
